We work closely with one of the UK’s leading WEEE processors. Their processing facilities are among the most sophisticated and environmentally friendly in Europe.
Traditionally the most difficult items to recycle have been televisions and computers, largely due to the lead in their screens. However, in 2010, Kent-based SWEEEP Kuusakoski, invested in the world’s first leaded glass furnace to recycle cathode ray tube (CRT) glass screens.
The process they use has no emissions, creates no waste and avoids exporting hazardous material from the UK and now recycles all of Just Clear’s electronics.
And now that Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) are rapidly replacing CRTs, their purpose-built mercury stripping facility can safely process LCDs.
